Legal Workflow Digitisation

Project description

As freelance Product Manager, I helped a SaaS company that handles workplace accident cases turn a legal process stuck in spreadsheets into a module legal teams would actually trust.

Its largest client, a major temp-staffing group, was tracking about 300 cases a year by hand; four court levels, dozens of statuses, strict legal deadlines. One missed step was a real risk. The module had to work for that client first, then become the template for every client on the platform.

I ran discovery with the client’s legal lead, designed the prototypes, wrote and reconciled the user stories, and briefed an offshore development team with full business context in every ticket. After having caught some discrepancies during QA I realigned every ticket to a simplified design and turned an unordered backlog into a sequenced release plan with clear priorities and dependencies.

The result: a workflow tested by the client’s legal lead against how the team actually works, and a dev team that knows exactly what to build next, in what order, and why. No spreadsheet chaos, no guesswork, ready to scale across the platform.
